Still here!

Still here, just been a bit busy for the past few weeks! I have been helping Cricket. She is about to get over her surgery. She still has a few more weeks before she will be totally feeling better. She and Levi are going to go home tomorrow. I will sure miss them! He is growing so fast! Speaking of that so is Princess Abigail! She always has surprises for Nana! No complaints!

I want ya'll to know that I love each and everyone of you very much!!! Family is so important! Not that other things aren't.. Okay that about does it for tonight..it's late and I will get back to posting. Lord willing!!

Proud grandparents!!

Levi was born Tuesday, August 25 at 10:18am. He weigthed 7.2 lbs and was 20 1/2 inches long. Cecil and I were able to go into surgery and watch Levi enter into the world! It was amazing to watch and on the other hand it was difficult to watch Cricket go through it! When they finally got Levi out it was so amazing to see him!! Cricket handled the surgery well. I am so glad for that. I want to thank everyone that sent up prayers for her and Levi. She and Levi got to come home Friday. They are doing well. He is so precious!

Thank you Amy and Justin for the food Friday, it was very good and much appreciated!! We stopped by to see Abigail Friday. She was glad to see Poppaw and Nana! We were so glad to see her play and of course get all the hugs and kisses!! She played peep pye with daddy and it was very fun to watch her. We have missed keeping her! But we should be back on schedule.

Nervous wreck!!

Didn't sleep that great again last night..for some reason been having problem with my beauty sleep and it is beginning to show is ugly head! So naturally I did not want to get up! I managed to pull myself out of bed get breakfast cooked and get the kiddos off to school, and get my day started. Cheryl did not have time to eat which is not unusual. Work went good just didn't get near to work done that I wanted. Then off to pick Cheryl up at school and I wait and wait and wait...till finally I asked one of her friends where she was and she had took off to Taco Bell with one of her friends! I have to say I was a little upset..because I could have just picked her up from there or she could have came by the office...she was not thinking!! She had a doctor appt. today..We got to hear the baby's (we have been calling he/her Riley already not even knowing if it is a girl or boy! ) heart beat. It was very exciting for her and me. Then I got to visit with Abbie today!! I have missed her so much! you just don't know. She is growing so fast! I can't believe it and of course even smarter! She is getting into that climbing stage(not sure if she has been doing that for a while..I have not kept her in feels like ages!! She always takes away all the stressful stuff of everyday life!! Then to much of my surprise Amy brings me some purple hull peas!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I really do appreciate it!! :)

Now I can't find my camcorder charger!! Arghhhh...isn't that always the way it goes! Oh well, I can always go to bed and see if I can get some much needed, good restful sleep!

Getting Ready For Levi to Come home!

Today I slept in..could not go to sleep last night for some reason! Went over to Cricket's to help get her house and other things in order before Levi gets home. We had a time with the car seat getting it figured out..but we got it..with Cecil's help. I believe that we are ready!

Talked with Tim and he is so ready to come home!! We are so ready for him to come home too!! Did usual chores and skipped a few, but hey.. we will live! Was gonna stop in and see Abbie, but Justin and Amy were not home...but I got to chat with Amy on the phone. I could hear Abbie in the background jabbering, laughing, I love to hear that! I am gonna try and stop by and see her tomorrow after Cherylie's doctor appt. Will update you on her appt. Well I am getting sleepy and have to get up early in the morning. So hopefully I will get some sleep tonight!

Missing My Baby!!

I miss Tim so much when he is gone. I am so ready for him to come home. We thought at the beginning of the week that he might get to come in due to that Tropical Storm. That of course did not happen. He is very bored out there right now because they are stacked. I know how that is about not having anything to do at work.. It is horrible!! He will be home soon!!! Everyday he calls he has been asking if he is a pop paw yet. Today is one week that he has not smoked a cigarette..I am so proud of him!!! Keep it up baby!!

Busy Week!

It has been a very busy week for me. Work and pick Cherylie up at 11:40 from school. Also been a little worried about Cricket and Levi. But we found out today that he is going to make his grand entrance Tuesday, August 25th! I am so excited! Tim will miss being at his second grandbaby's birth, but he will be in when he is three days old! So I guess that is good.

Checked on the Jimmy today. Maybe it will be ready by the end of next week.

Lazy Sat!

Just took it easy today--with the exception of shelling peas..which was not that hard. Kids are at their dads. Tim is at work..so I just laid back and relaxed.

School Starts today!

Well it is that time again--School is back in session! And would you believe that the Jimmy's transmission went out yesterday!!! It will not go into reverse!! Arghhhh!! So Cherylie had to ride the bus to school today and she really didn't like that but hey--gotta do what ya gotta do!! Cricket had a ultrasound for Levi today and she and Cecil helped me get it to Smith's transmission to get it checked out. (Thank you Cecil and Cricket). We dropped it off on our way to the doctor office. It was so neat to be able to see Levi!! you could see his face and his hands, legs, fingers and so on. I can't wait to hold him and give him bunches of sugar!!! Cricket was so excited. The doctor said she had to go on bed rest due to fluid being low around Levi..and he scheduled stress test..which she went and done after we got something to eat. They said Levi was doing great!! Thank the Lord!

The bad news is it is gonna cost me to get the Jimmy fixed--OH MY!!! Arm and a leg! So I think we are gonna get it fixed--so I left it there. Cheryl needs it to get to school.

When it rains it pours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kept our Country Princess today!!

As always, we really enjoy keeping Abbie when we get the chance. She is such a blessing!! She is learning so much. She enjoys talking-- she just jabbers away..She also is checking out all the pictures in the house. She knows right where the one with Justin and her in it is. She will point at it and just jabber away. Too cute! She is also cutting teeth again as well we believe. She ran a low grade temp today, but she had a good one. Poppaw has to leave to go to work today. He does not want to go and we would like for him to be able to stay as well. But--then how would we buy Abbie and Levi and now Riley goodies!!! Well at least Poppaw does not have to leave till 11pm this time. Be safe Poppaw and hurry home!! We Love you!

Cleaned!

We started out with good intentions this morning. We started off the morning with getting dinner going by getting the fresh peas that Amy and Justin gave us. (Thanks very much..we enjoyed them extremely). Tim went and cut some fresh okra that Dennis thoughtfully let us have. We had a roast cooking with potatoes and we had fresh peas, okra, cornbread and rice for supper.. Oh!! I baked some fresh bread that Cherylie requested. Amy, that board came in real handy!! Then we set out to clean inside and out..We had the Orkin man coming today as well, and Cherylie's first ultrasound was today. Needlessly to say-- I was unable to get all the housework done. But, I did enjoy going to see the baby. Cherylie said first thing when she saw her (We think it is gonna be a girl) that it looked like a little Seahorse. She is so funny!!! The heart beat was 167. Cricket also thinks it is gonna be a girl and-- if it is- Cherylie has decided that she will name her Riley Lynn or Elizabeth-- she has not decided on the middle name yet.. I happen to like them both-- And the tech said that she thought she would be due March 8th. I came up with March 7th before she went to the doctor. The doctor said March 6th. So we were all around the same time. Maybe it will be March 7th..but my sister's B-Day was March 9th so who knows.

My day was filled with mishaps!! Everything I touched today turned out sour!!! It was one of those days..but I made it!!! Although they all thought I was losing it!!!

Then we had the Orkin Man scheduled today! He showed up right after we got through with supper!! Kitchen was not cleaned yet..But he came right on in and got down to business!! Maybe we can get rid of these aggrivating spiders!!!! Yay!!!!!

All in all I would say today was not that bad. Tomorrow will be better!! Hopefull thinking--nothing wrong with that :) !! Right?

Casey enjoyed hanging out with Pop today. He and Pop worked outside cleaning. And Casey is so excited about learning how to operate a Tractor!! He rode with Pop today to start learning. He told me that it was so much fun that he felt like he should throw his hands in the air like he was on a roller coaster!!! I am so glad he is wanting to learn to do that.

Hospital Test

Tim had test at the hospital today..He had to have a PFT which stands for Pulmonary Function Study. This tells how much lung function you have. He has 50% of his lungs working..That does not sound good and it worries me. He also had a chest X-ray done but we do not have the results from that test yet. Then we had to run around town and get medicine for Casey's pink eye. Thank you Amy for getting us started on Friday..that was a big help. Then instead of the doctor calling me in something for bronchitis he had to see me and they did not know when they could get me in..so we decided to go eat and then go to grocery store and go on home. We just got into the grocery store and Tim had bananas in a bag and the doctor office called for me to come right now. I told Tim we had to go to doctor now.. he hurried and put them up and we got in the truck and he thought that it was Cricket having the baby!!! lol.. he was dissappointed to find out it was for me!! Anyway I got the medicine and guess what he said I had...Bronchitis you guessed it!!! So very busy day here on Slaydon Hill.

Hay!

If you don't know..it is hay season. Tim is out doing what he loves to do. Cut, bale, haul, sell hay!! He may complain about it the whole time..but He loves it. If he is not complaining then I would think that something was wrong. I am just hanging out at home today with the kids. Which I love to do! :) It has started raining here so I hope the hay did not get wet!
